Our client is looking has an immediate need for a Application DBA to join our Engineering Team in St. Petersburg, FL.    The Application DBA will play an integral role in partnering with the Engineering and Product team to enhance the user experience of the front end Console application by helping with continuous back-end console repository improvements.   This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the leading providers of enterprise data management software.   We look for innovative ways to support our clients and improve our products by working side-by-side with our product and customer success teams in an agile environment.   

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide database design and ongoing support and administration of databases for a specific application or target database platforms that serve as search locations for our client’s product portfolio
  • Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL operations that serve as best ways to incorporate database request from application programs
  • Have a deep understanding of software product functionality to understand their impact to console repository design and performance as well as downstream target database environments.
  • Perform database change management, performance tuning and other roles of DBA functions.
  • Provide project and consulting support to application projects on database design, features, development, tuning, and conformance to standards. 
  • Document and establish appropriate procedures and controls for DDL versioning, migration, and management.  In addition, providing on-call and emergency support availability for external customers experiencing application database issues.
