Business Analyst (2 openings, unlimited subs)

12 month contract

100% remote

As a Business Analyst, you will use your sharp business skills to assist in creating, controlling and improving business processes and platform solutions related to Capitation. You will report to and support the Product Owner for capitation, performing duties as assigned. You will solve complex problems as you serve as a resource to others on your elite team. You will create process design, project implementation, diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions. You will support the design and creation of platform solutions. You will also provide quality reporting, analysis, audits, and develop plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement.
Specific Duties: 
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Capitation Processing and Administration 
• Be the business subject matter expert, experienced in business analysis and requirements gathering 
• Act as business liaison to technology teams for project discussions and planning 
• Assist in formulating and defining business system scope and objectives through research and fact finding under broad general direction with minimal supervision 
• Assess operational impacts to other business areas / systems for financial system enhancements and vice versa 
• Develop detailed business requirements, test plans and scripts, and perform implementation check out processes for projects; maintain defect documentation / resolution library 
o Develop business scenarios and test cases for E2E testing. Perform E2E testing. 
• Assimilate, integrate and interface technical and business knowledge with business system or process requirements 
• Lead and manage customer readiness activities and project implementation teams in process improvement activities 
• Coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing with other systems and business areas 
• Participate in Agile Scrum methodology meetings 
• Gather, develop, and document business requirements and user stories - ensure requirements are clear, concise and complete 
• Facilitate work sessions to gather business requirements / user stories 
• Participate in project / program requirements, features, solution walkthroughs and design sessions 
• Support all phases of agile software development to include initiation, design, development and testing 
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and technical teams regarding enhancements, changes, issues and defects that may impact development, data, workflow and functionality 
Must Have:
• Previous experience with Capitation Processing and Administration for a variety of capitation payment methodologies including Per Member Per Month, Percent of Premium, Capitation Deductions 
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
• Agile certification or equivalent work experience in an Agile environment 
• 3+ years of experience in writing business and/or system requirements 
• 2+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines 
• 2+ years of experience using MS Project, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel 
• Experience participating in projects that have various levels of complexity
