Apex Systems is looking for a Contract Analyst with previous Construction or Construction Management experience to write and review contract in Columbus, Ohio.
 
Job Summary: 
  • Serve as key point of contact and liaison between the Workplace Services Major Projects group, Procurement, and Contractors as it relates to construction service agreements. 
  • Responsible for active management of the contracting process to ensure policy compliance, risk mitigation, and legal review.
  • Responsible for initiating, and/or participating in, process improvement efforts, sourcing events, and negotiations. 
  • Responsible for taking the design and scope documents provided by the Workplace Services Major Projects team and constructing service agreements with the winning bidders, working in conjunction with the Major Projects team, Legal, and Procurement staff.
  • Responsible for writing modifications to existing agreements and working with the Legal, Risk and Insurance department as necessary to protect the interests of the company.

    Preferred Experience
  • Strong Communication skills are required, as this position interacts with all levels of management, third party providers, and various business unit stakeholders
  • Experience in Construction or Construction Management is strongly preferred
  • Direct experience in contract writing and reviewing. 
  • Above average communication skills with emphasis on writing and listening. 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of related contract and/or supply chain experience or related experience in work activities and projects.
