Digital Product Owner - 7 month contract (likely to extend)


As a Product Owner, you will have the responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, verify, prioritize and manage the real needs of the various stakeholders across the organization. Then, working with a dedicated team, deliver premium web experiences to customers through our Agile design and development process, staying involved throughout the entire experience life-cycle from concept to global delivery and self-service enablement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as a product owner taking responsibility for an experience or feature from design through to live implementation.
  • Elicit / write requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints.
  • Communicate vision and design approaches to key stakeholders through presentations, demos and documentation.
  • Manage and prioritize product backlog according to the overall roadmap.
  • Work with business users to define and analyze problems and align the most appropriate technology solution.
  • Manage change request process to ensure that appropriate documentation is updated when change requests are adopted.
  • Review and provide input on process design work prior to requirement adoption.

 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years with a Master’s, or equivalent experience.

 
EXPERIENCE TO INCLUDE:
  • 5+ years working with business requirements and/or process documentation.
  • Excellent two-way communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, including interviewing skills for engaging with individuals and groups about their needs; ability to ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information; and presentation skills to stakeholders and others.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills; ability to work with the vast array of data gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information.
  • Excellent reporting skills for providing ongoing visibility to stakeholders on product delivery status and future delivery plans.
  • Proven track record of using Agile methodologies including 5 years experience managing large, complex projects in digital environments with multiple teams.
  • Prior experience using Agile/Scrum framework within a digital/web environment.

 
PREFERENCES:
  • Prior experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or as Subject Matter Expert in the digital domain.
  • Prior work experience in a large IT or software development organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of system development methodology, project management, and system architecture.
  • ITIL Foundations certification.
  • Agile Certification.
