Apex Systems is looking for a Project Electrical Engineer II in The Woodlands Texas Area!

Scope of the Position:

Planning (developing plans for internal and external certification groups), identify risks ahead of time, reporting, coordinating, negotiating, scrum/agile, get short burst tests moving.

Scrum Master nice to have, not required. Agile process and procedures is required. Gather and reporting data, resource planning. Looking for an independent resource.

Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group.  Worker performs complicated engineering work exercising independent judgment and action. Applies research principles and techniques to the design, development, or testing of electronic systems, equipment, products, or facilities.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

•Managing internal and external resources to establish and achieve program goals (On-Time, On Spec, and On-Cost)

•Tracking and maintaining program budget and product cost estimates

•Coaching and guiding the team members to follow Agile/Scrum practices

•Assisting the team in removing impediments and escalating appropriately to engage the correct personnel to remove the impediments

•Assisting with defining and maintaining the product backlog

•Providing key project internal and external communication to the stakeholders to improve transparency

•Leading Scrum ceremonies

Basic Qualifications:

•Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline

•Minimum five (5) years of Electrical, Software, Embedded Systems, and/or Mechanical New Product Development (NPD) experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering from an accredited institution

•Certified Scrum Professional (CSM or PSM)

•Proven leadership capabilities in negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement

•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and engage with people quickly

•Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for Scrum (e.g. Backlog prioritization, release planning, retrospectives)

•Expert knowledge of Agile Scrum best practices

•Experience with applying Agile methodologies to hardware/systems development

•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

•Familiarity with industry leading Agile/Scrum tools (e.g. Jira, CA Agile Central, TFS)
