Apex Systems is looking for an Energy Accounting Analyst in Columbus, Ohio.
Hours: M-F 7am-4pm

Position Summary:
  • Under moderate supervision, perform a variety of technical duties associated with the editing, retrieval, processing, validation and market submission of metered data
  • Interact with appropriate personnel to resolve suspected metering or telecommunications problems
  • Work with other companies to come to an agreement on metered values
  • Review, investigate and resolve metered load discrepancies
  • On a daily basis use meter reading software including MV-90 xi and other meter reading tools to interrogate data
  • Perform validation checks on data and fill in gaps with estimated data. 
  • Work with meter technicians to resolve issues in the field. 
  • Monitor changes and take the lead in setting up or adjusting accounts. 
  • Provide good communication of system issues that may impact quality or deadlines. 
  • Provide billing quality data to wholesale customers and troubleshoot any issues or questions they have. 

Minimum Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Entry-level with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Business; or Associate’s Degree and two (2) years relevant experience with Transmission or RTO Settlements or performing statistical and data analysis. 
  • Exposure to MV90 Xi, Business Objects, RTO markets and/or analytic software such as SAS preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
