A well-regarded company focusing on patient therapies is seeking a Flow Cytometrist, Analytical Development to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work for an industry leader!
  • Execute flow cytometric testing on a regular basis or as needed, in support of process development and product characterization
  • Perform cell sorting using BD FACSAria cell sorter
  • Maintain, calibrate and operate flow cytometry analytical equipment and instruments
  • Implement reagent titration, lot-checking, and maintain proficiency testing database
  • Assist in developing, qualifying, executing and documenting flow cytometry methods to study and characterize processes for production of cell therapies
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and analytical test methods
  • Ability to keep ELN up-to-date
  • Execute experimental approaches and new analytical technologies and assists with continuous improvement of analytical tools
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in life sciences with 1- 2 years’ experience in industry or over 3 years in the academics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developing flow cytometry methods, and technical knowledge of instrument and method controls.
  • Ability to follow laboratory procedures with attention to detail, and successfully execute experiments at the bench
  • Ability to think critically, demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
  • Excellent skill in Microsoft word, Excel, FACSDIVA and FlowJo data analysis software
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
  • Ability to lift over 30 lbs
