About the position:

  • You will own incidents from cradle to grave and provide solutions for the future as well (i.e. Notice trends in incidents, groups, etc)
  • When service desk escalates, look when there is about to breach, check for incidents about to breach
  • Won't be taking inbound phone calls, working within call center/service desk 
  • Shows how many incidents are about to breach, look at hop report- how many times an incident has hopped around
  • Handle escalations with managers across the enterprise, look at tickets that have gone into a black hole 
  • Centered around individual incidents 
  • Will do some training for managing incidents 

Qualifications:

  • ITIL certified, foundation. Not practitioners. 
  • Someone familiar with framework of problem and incident and knowledge mgmt
  • Great people skills 
  • Ablity to speak in layman's terms to business resources
  • Service Now experience. Remedy or Service Manager is ok, ServiceNow is preferred
  • Need to know the process, need to drive behavior of the service desk 
  • Ability to see reoccurring issues within the business.
