Job Title: Small Business Insurance Sales & Service Representative
Location: Mountain View, CA 
 
Are you an experienced Insurance representative looking for the opportunity to start a successful new career? We are looking for outgoing and dedicated Small Business Insurance Sales & Service representatives who are interested in a rewarding career in insurance. QuickBooks Insurance is a start-up within Intuit that is specializing in providing property & casualty insurance to small businesses. These roles will work with the inside sales/support teams. These teams support our customers by providing a consultative sales experience around how to start, protect, manage and grow their small business. Youll spend the majority of your time engaging with small businesses discussion their aspirations, uncovering needs and discovering problems you can help them solve with Intuits offerings. Typical duties:
  • Interview prospective clients to get data about their business activities and risks associated and discuss existing coverage.
  • Explain the features of various policies and recommend the right policies for them/
  • Analyze clients current insurance policies and suggest additions or changes.
  • Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients.
  • Handle policy renewals.
  • Maintain electronic and paper records.
  • Consultants are expected to understand how Small & Mid-Market Businesses work, know the Intuit ecosystem of products, and tailor solutions to specific customer needs uncovered in the sales conversation.
  • Help policyholders settle claims.
  • Be the voice of customers for product and marketing feedback to influence how we build features, functionality, and messages.


Skills:
  • Must be licensed insurance agent/broker/producer (named differently across the states) in property and casualty lines. Needs to have an active resident license in California.
  • Willing and able to stay current on continuing education.
  • Able to understand customer mindset and barriers, and clearly communicate to internal partners
  • 2+ years of previous working experience as an Insurance Agent. Small Business experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Resilient spirit and a persistent nature
  • Experience in consultative sales - i.e. establishing genuine rapport with clients, engaging in bi-directional and meaningful conversations with prospects, confidently making recommendations
