Linux Specialist Needed!

Our client is looking to add a Linux specialist to their growing team to help contribute to several enterprise initiatives. We are looking for Linux professionals who have hands on experience leading an upgrade from Linux 5x to 7x. This individual will also need scripting experience. 

Job Functions: This is a hands-on technical role. Must be able to be Lead Engineer on RHEL 5 to 7 upgrade

Plan and perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise Linux environment in a highly virtualized environment (95% virtualized)

Maintain security and data protection strategies

Build and maintain VM templates for Linux and Unix

Automate and optimize our end to end IT infrastructure provisioning

Develop and execute onboarding strategies for upgrading Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers

 

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience

Strong hardware and software troubleshooting and system diagnostic skills

Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux systems in enterprise-level environments as a full-time Linux Admin/Engineer

Experience centrally implementing, managing and patching RHEL servers

Experience with virtualized compute environments

Advanced ability to automate and script deployment and administration tasks (experience with at least one of the following: Bash, Csh, Ksh, Python, Ruby, Perl)

Hands on experience with at least one of the following: VMware vCenter, ESXi, vSphere, vROps

Working knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS)
