Java Development position with a leading financial firm in the DMV!

ROLE: Java Developer

LOCATION: Rockville, MD

ROLE OVERVIEW: Apex Systems has an immediate need for strong Junior-Senior Java Developers. The positions are on a long term contract basis, with strong potential to become a permanent employee. Hourly compensation varies depending on experience. The candidate will be responsible for a significant amount of hands-on software development to assist in testing various applications in a team environment. The successful candidate must be able to work in a performance driven and team environment. The Java Developer should know either the Angular or Server Side because they’re currently moving their Apps to AWS. You will need to understand some type of JavaScript if you're more of a back-end tester.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • 2-5 years of demonstrable hands on experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • At a minimum, candidates should possess skills / experience including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Understands Perl and moved to Java/Angular/AWS
    • Execution of test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
