  • Java web development on custom applications.
  • As-needed production support on systems of responsibility.  

Desired Skills:
  • Experience developing web applications on Linux
  • Familiar with enterprise Java development experience within a team environment
  • Knowledge of popular enterprise Java web containers (Servlet API 3.0+) such as Tomcat.
  • Knowledge of Java Spring Framework (4.0+)
  • Troubleshooting experience such as reviewing logs, attaching a debugger, use of Chrome developer tools.
  • Experience with JavaScript and bonus points for experience with modern front-end development frameworks like React and Angular 5+
  • Knowledge of SQL and an understanding of RDBMSs like MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity, and clear appreciation of end customer needs.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Selenium
  • Knowledge of JUnit and other advanced unit testing libraries such as Mockito, PowerMock.
  • Knowledge of web security best practices (e.g. OWASP Top 10).
  • Experience working with Microsoft .Net
  • Experience working with Ruby on Rails
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (or other cloud provider) service offerings
  • Experience as a team lead in Agile/Scrum software practices.

  • Demonstrates excellent grammar and spelling in written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear technical documentation.

  • 2 years of experience with undergraduate degree

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred
