Aerospace Company Seeking a Full-Time Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Management, direction, and coordination of major product programs and implementation support on manufacturing process projects.
  • Direct technical personnel, program and project teams; develops practical engineering solutions to problems arising in the course of the design and implementation of the new program or project.
  • Develop and maintain program manufacturing cost estimates and routings throughout the development of new programs until manufacturing program responsibility acceptance.
  • Assure effective use of assigned engineering and technical resources through day-to-day direction.
  • This includes motivating co-workers to make aggressive positive recommendations and contributions for the improvement of transparency designs, structural analysis and design documentation.
  • Remain technically aware of industry trends, government regulations, customer requirements and the manufacturing process requirements in order to personally contribute suggestions and recommendations and assist subordinates.
  • Interact with customers, sales, product support engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality assurance, GBDC, other manufacturing facilities and possibly regulatory agencies.
  • Execute the PDT program development schedule to meet customer contractual requirements.
  • Work with the Program Manager, Design Engineers, Product Support Engineers, Research, Material and Process Engineering and Tooling EBngineering to meet customer requirements.
  • Identify critical paths in manufacturing process development and ensure that all process technical documentation and development parts are completed in agreement with customer schedules.
  • Technical documentation includes initial process routings, part manufacturing costs, standard work and process drawings.
  • Generate the initial part cost estimate to support the sales quote process and to monitor part manufacturing costs throughout the development in order to meet business unit profitability objectives.
  • Partner with the appropriate Process Engineering personnel to ensure definition of manufacturing specifications, timing and process control utilizing the PDT process.
  • Ensure that program and project outcomes conform to all EH&S requirements.
  • Provide continuous improvement for the department's environmental, health and safety, quality and value performance to insure an injury free work place, 100% compliance to customer satisfaction while meeting plant profitability objectives.

  • BS Degree in engineering - mechanical engineering preferred
  • 3+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with new product introduction
  • Project management experience a plus
