Apex is looking for a Network Manager to support a Department of IT project. The Network Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of managed services support across a large IT infrastructure environment (LAN/WAN, server infrastructure). Responsible for oversight and support of the operation, performance, and availability of data, video and voice communications networks. Supporting the overall management of an AD-based server infrastructure, to include routers, switches, AD, DHCP, DNS management, and associated support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of tasking for network team
  • Managing network performance
  • Network analysis, integration, and tuning
  • Configuration of network devices
  • Performing Tier III-level troubleshooting and coordination of troubleshooting efforts
  • Coordination with asset management teams to upgrade equipment as required/necessary
  • Support for a variety of network devices, to include - Routers, switches, load balancers and WAPs
  • Demonstrate a proficiency with Cisco IOS and Nexus systems
  • Coordinate and manage all preventative and emergency maintenance activities
  • Knowledge of IBM SNA protocols


Qualifications


Education and Years of Experience:  

  • BS/BA with 12 years of general experience, and 10years of networking experience

 Required Skills/Certifications: 

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to oversee task management for self and a small staff of individuals
  • CCNP Router/Switching
