Production Support Engineer
Job Description:
Empower the Production Support team by providing support for a lab and production environment. This will enable the technology teams to deliver consistent, high-quality, high-speed results while improving user experience and information assurance posture. Through this support you will enable various engineering teams to provide solutions quickly and efficiently.  You will also address escalated problems from the teams that support our production network and provide a first level response for the engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a stable and well maintained lab environment for multiple engineering teams to work out of.
  • Research and troubleshoot any issues that arise in the lab or production environment.
  • Execution of lab testing plans, to help ensure quality solution.
  • Build out new servers following specific instructions to ensure consistent builds.
  • Work with other teams supporting various lab environments when needed.
    • Troubleshooting application issues on servers and client workstations.
    • Provide detailed documentation and write ups on issues discovered or escalated.

  • 3-5 years of experience in software support.
  • 3-5 years of server management, primarily windows server with some Linux/Unix knowledge.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Microsoft server operating systems including Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 (R2), Windows Server 2012 and their use in global enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft client operating systems including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and their use in global enterprise environments.
  • Experience with and knowledge of AD design and GPO management.
  • Experience with VMWare VSphere virtualization software.
  • Experience with network storage devices.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal instruction and supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of end users, IT and management staff.
  • Attention to detail as well as strong organizational, planning, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment.
  • Results orientated and schedule driven.
  • CompTia Security+
  • Ability to obtain SAFe Practitioner certification within 6 months of start date
