QA Analyst

Our client, a Global Financial Services Institution is looking to hire a QA Analyst for a contract opportunity.  A description can be found below, but for more information please contact Matt Draga at

• Owning manual QA testing portion of overall QA effort

• Working with Scrum teams to scrutinize functional acceptance criteria in tickets and estimate testing complexity during story refinement sessions

• Working with international QA team members in various time zones

• Writing functional test cases that fully cover a feature

• Updating existing test cases to reflect changes in functional acceptance criteria

• Testing tickets for functional acceptance, regression, and in exploratory sessions

• Writing individual manual test steps that include context, change, and expected results

• Categorizing test cases using predefined labels and metadata

• Writing bug tickets that follow a predefined format with detailed steps to reproduce and include appropriate metadata

• Creating sprint-level manual test cycles and executing them

• Creating release-level manual test cycles and executing them

• Employing QA techniques such as equivalence partitioning, edge case analysis, and negative testing

• Proactively identifying risk and offering solutions for mitigation

• Communicating results of test cycle executions
We want someone who has:

• Bachelor's degree

• 3+ years of QA experience testing web applications

• Experience owning and being responsible for manual QA process

• Experience writing functional test cases from a user's perspective

• Experience writing test plans that fully cover a feature

• Experience creating test cycles

• Knowledge of how modern web applications work

• Ability to think critically

• Ability to quickly context shift and adapt to changing priorities

• Experience acting with autonomy

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Testing experience from a minimum viable product to receiving maintenance releases

• Experience using Confluence, Jira, and Zephyr

• Experience in Mac and Windows environments
