Job Description:*

 

The QA/IA Analyst will be a member of an agile team, responsible for QA/IA function of the team. The incumbent is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manual and automated test scripts, test plans, test cases and work with business and the technology teams to help define requirements for a project, identify data dependencies and/or identify relationships to develop logical and physical data models, create data flow and system activity diagrams, and write specifications for managing enterprise information. Specifications may include business rules, source to target mappings, supplemental specifications and/or use cases. The Analyst must also be able to work with architects, engineers and DBAs to ensure that the business and technical requirements are being met throughout the development process.

 

Job Requirements

*

  • Communicate with and understand business goals and requirements, and work to create data solutions that add value to the business
  • Develop test strategies, plans, cases, and scripts for testing DB Components, ETL jobs, DB Stored Procedures and AWS services
  • Develop and participate in the review of requirements, data mappings, use cases and other artifacts and clearly communicate to both the business and technical team members the system requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to define, analyze and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into activity diagrams source to target mappings, data mapping specifications, system use cases and supplemental specifications
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
    • Seven years of progressively responsible experience with experience in the following areas is preferred:
  • Perform white box and black box validation
  • Provide guidance and direction to team members in identifying and documenting test scenarios
  • Develop and analyze complex SQL queries for data validation
  • Demonstrate ability to operate without specific direction given
  • Demonstrate exceptional skills and communicate without guidance
  • Prepare accurate resource estimates at the project level
  • Develop automated load tests based on written or automated test cases
  • Analyze, document, and verify system change requests (defects, enhancements, new features)
  • Collaborate with the PM and Development staff as needed
  • Perform and assist others in data validation against Oracle database
  • Prepare detailed test reports
    • Experience working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment, with an ability to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules

  • Preferred Skills:*
    • Knowledge of AWS services DynamoDB, S3, EC2, Lambda and Amazon RDS is preferred
    • Java coding is a plus
    • Familiarity with DevOps model
    • Automation using Gherkin and Cucumber is a plus

  • Education/Certifications:*
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
    • Seven years of testing experience with STRONG SQL skills
    • Understanding of business process modeling, data provisioning modeling, entity relationship modeling and dimensional modeling
    • 5-7 years’ experience to understand business needs, enterprise data and translate them into business requirements and data mapping specifications
