A well-regarded company focusing on patient therapies is seeking a QC Sr. Associate/Associate Scientist to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work for an industry leader!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform testing of raw materials by following analytical methods: Compendial methods (pH, Osmolality, Conductivity, endotoxin, etc), ELISA, Gel/Western Blot, FT-IR, HPLC, PCR
  • Develop and validate GMP test methods for raw materials.  Author and review SOPs, qualification/validation protocols, and reports. Manage method development at contract labs.
  • Conduct investigations regarding out of specifications (OOS) results. Address and manage deviations related to analytical procedures.
  • Monitor and trend data, complete routine record review of test data and related documents for raw materials release.
  • Maintain, calibrate and operate equipment and instruments supporting Raw Material Testing labs
  • Work with internal and external resources to maintain lab in an optimal state.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and ability to identify, effectively communicate, and troubleshoot issues. 
  • Provide updates at daily and weekly meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required, including QC inspections of quarantine raw materials

REQUIREMENTS:
 

  • B.S. with  5 – 7+ years or MS with 3 - 5 yrs of hands-on laboratory experience in the biotech/biopharmaceutical setting
  • Experience with biochemical and biophysical analytical methods:  pH, Osmolality, Conductivity, Visual Inspection, Protein assays, FT-IR, etc
  • Must have previous experience operating in an GMP environment
  • Prior experience with method development, troubleshooting, and investigations/deviations/CAPA desired
  • Exceptional attention to detail, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and time management skills a must
