Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of relevant experience and education
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience of Scrum Master experience
  • 4+ years of Agile experience
  • Knowledge of Lean, Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks
  • Familiarly with modern software engineering techniques
  • Familiar with coaching a Product Owner
  • Familiar with test-driven development and software test automation processes
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools
  • Leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, guide the creation of a self-organizing team and be assertive in adhering to Agile concepts and principles.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills to connect and engage team, facilitate discussion, advocate for team and negotiate with Product Owner and other business/corporate areas, mentor/coach team members, and resolve conflict.
  • Be perceptive with strong listening skills, and willingness to identify issues and work to resolve or elevate them.

Agile or Scrum related certification
  • Provides overall guidance for scrum teams to adhere to Agile principles and practices. Arrange and facilitate demos and decision-making processes to ensure that the proper adaptation process is in use. This includes sprint team backlog grooming, estimating and sizing effort, release planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospective. 
  • Facilitate Scrum events as needed fostering creativity, empowerment, cooperation, communication and productivity.
  • Ensure the team is self-organizing and operating to maximize productivity and continuously improving. 
  • Manage interdependencies between agile teams.
  • Leads team activities by demonstrating Agile principles and ensures Agile theory, practices and rules are understood and practiced. 
  • Works to improve team productivity by removing barriers, providing tools/metrics to maximize ROI, assisting with resource planning and providing coaching on effective team interactions.
  • Supports overall team by negotiating and advocating for team with Product Owner and stakeholders, helping to resolve conflict, minimizing distraction/disruption, and providing hands-on mentorship when needed. 
  • Work with the Product Owners to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog health and prepared for execution
  • Empower the scrum teams and shields teams from outside influences and distractions
