Apex Systems has a contract to hire opening for a Security Engineer with one of the largest credit unions in the country in the Tampa, FL area.  Client is looking for someone with a good understand of Firewalls preferably Palo Alto, Cloud IaaS experience (Zscaler) and Network access control (Netscaler).
This is a contract to hire opportunity offering up to $90-95K/yr. upon conversion along with great benefits including health coverage, 401(k) and an aggressive PTO program.

Client Job Description (Security Engineer, Firewall, Cloud):
Client Requirements (Security Engineer, Firewall, Cloud):
  • Any firewall tool
  • Cloud (IaaS) experience- Zscaler
  • Network access control- NetScaler
  • Palo Alto is a plus but not required
  • SAN certification would be a plus but not required

Day to Day Responsibilities (Security Engineer, Firewall, Cloud):
  • Technical back-up to current security- Firewall
  • Willing to train on all tools- need to understand the concepts- product specifics they can train
  • Palo Alto, Zscaler ( Cloud), Fourscout ( Network access control), Firemode (auditing firewall and CM for firewall, automation processes- rule creation)
  • Ticket request- automated with security tools
  • Not a lot of coding but integration with different tools, leverage API’s outside of Phantom
  • PCI compliance familiarity
  • Solid documentation background
