Apex Systems is looking for an Application Support Analyst in the Doral, FL area for a contract opportunity.

Summary of Position Requirements

 

The Application Support Analyst is to have a basic understanding of Application Support needs including but not limited to:  database structure, server architecture, network infrastructure, active directory security and application support for the Business Associates.  This position will provide technical support for a variety of Business Applications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Identify and resolve issues within the various applications supported.
  • Assist in testing and upgrading existing applications.
  • Assist in implementing new phases of existing applications.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports and application documentation, as needed.
  • Develop best practices and tools for application execution and support.
  • Other duties will vary as job responsibilities evolve.


Education and Experience Requirements

  • University degree, college diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years direct work experience in Application Support.
  • Technically competent with various software programs.
  • Basic knowledge required of SQL Server and how applications interact with databases.
  • Basic knowledge required of Windows 2008 and 2012 server interaction with applications – including Web applications
  • Basic knowledge required of Network infrastructure, Active Directory and Application servers and structure interact within a large network.
  • Ability to understand VBScripts, batch files and SQL programming.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Reacts to adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Flexible during times of change.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at conducting research into various application-related issues.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Customer service skills an asset.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Overtime may be required in meet project deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with off-site personnel/management.
