Sr. Instructional Designer (Level 5) Global IT is a large and growing organization providing support to internal customers and infrastructure. This is all made possible through collaboration with a wide variety of teams from all over the world. Global IT manages a complex suite of technology deployments and is responsible for strategic initiatives that cross business teams and operations groups. Responsibilities Global IT has an opening for a Sr. Design Program Manager (Instructional Designer) who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong training and development background. As an instructional designer, you will be responsible for leading the analysis, design and development of high-quality training content and provide direction for the most appropriate vehicles to deliver the training to the audiences (e.g. online, class led, webinars, etc.). This learning content will be prepared for the global launch of a new project intake and portfolio management mechanism and will be delivered to all Global IT teams. This role will focus on instructional design, curriculum development, training delivery and program management.
Required Skills
  • Expertise in designing, developing, planning, implementing and assessing training to current industry and adult learning standards.
  • Experience developing a variety of learning modalities such as eLearning, performance support aids, online tutorials and collaborative learning environments.
  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers.
  • Experience developing to current industry and adult learning standards.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to explain technical topics to novices.
  • Demonstrated experience in formulating quantitative and qualitative measurements in order to implement training and drive performance improvement strategies, implemented across the organization.
  • Proven project management experience and the ability to prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience with process improvement, procedure standardization and change management applied across geographies and teams
  • Ability to research, analyze internal learning tools and select the proper learning solutions based on learner need.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate difficult concepts and processes using clear and simple language and visuals.
  • Demonstrated obsession regarding the customer experience; never settle for good enough, and continually inspire others to do better for the customer.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in instructional design and developing learning content.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills
  • LMS (e.g., Cornerstone) administration experience including eLearning publishing and learning assessments.
  • History of sparking improvements in learning strategy and content through collaboration and prototyping.
  • Experience in a major corporate training environment working on instructional design assignments across multiple teams or groups.
  • Experience in designing, developing and implementing global training programs-including considerations for localization and translation needs
  • Proficiency with Visio, HTML, Photoshop are a plus.
  • Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate.
  • While this role will be primarily focused on instructional design, experience in and ability to deliver training for technical teams is favorable.
  • Experience with WorkFront, Clarity PPM, Clarizen, Planview or comparable intake/portfolio work management tool(s) is highly favorable.
