Biotechnology Company is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join their fast-growing team!

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction for cross-functional projects and initiatives of high impact and visibility
  • Develop and implement best-in-class PM processes and tools/templates such as project schedules, Gantt charts, action/decision logs, RACIs, risk registers, meeting agendas/minutes, etc.
  • Ensure delivery of high quality integrated cross functional project plans, effective management of project activities, and control of project timelines
  • Provide PM support for strategic Program Management (pipeline) projects, operations teams, and other groups as assigned
  • Support lifecycle management for programs as assigned
  • Support change management and continuous improvement efforts across programs, identifying and addressing gaps and opportunities
  • Successfully manage complex programs through stage gate reviews and complete milestones on schedule
  • Manage lots of moving parts and help connect dots to drive and coordinate cross-functional project teams toward milestone completion
  • Recognize cross-functional dependencies and overlap to maximize efficiency
  • Set clear, consistent and challenging expectations that are aligned with the company, department, and project objectives
  • Partner with key partners to champion continuous improvement, new ideas, and initiatives that drive corporate programs
  • Other duties as assigned

 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences with 8-10 years of project management experience or Master’s degree in sciences with 6-8 years of project management experience; minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the biotech or pharma industry
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate progress toward milestones, opportunities, and risks to all stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Microsoft Project is required
  • Must exhibit high emotional intelligence, with demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate through challenging situations and difficult conversations
  • Possess a strong ability to build trust, along with demonstrated ability to drive, lead and influence colleagues across the organization to achieve department, operations teams, and corporate goals
  • Superior problem-solving skills with proven abilities to anticipate issues and recommend effective and efficient solutions.
  • Self-starter who is independently motivated and detail oriented
  • Comfortable and efficient in a demanding, fast-paced, dynamic, often fluid environment with minimal guidance and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
