Sr. Project Manager

San Antonio, TX

6 month contract-to-hire

 


Description:

PROJECTS: A variety of IT Infrastructure related projects that require a PM to support. Updating servers, upgrading a RightFax server, upgrading hardware or software. Chasing down IDs related to non user accounts.

IDEAL BACKGROUND: Been a Project Manager in the Infrastructure organization prior, or has a good understanding of Databases, Servers, Voice or Data network related projects.

Required Experience:

- Project Management experience working in an IT Infrastructure department 

- Understanding of server components and or technology hardware.

- Does not have to have healthcare experience.

- Experience with MS Project and Visio.

- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Preferred Experience: 

-Infrastructure experience project management work.

-Minimum 4 years of PM experience.

-They need to understand technology related to infrastructure.

-Positions in this function are involved in the definition, management, and implementation of significant technology focused projects based in the infrastructure organization.

-Focuses on IT projects, not for use as project management in non-IT roles.

-Positions are business specialists and technology generalists that manage, direct and interface with business clients.

-Align technology solutions with business strategies, working primarily with infrastructure personnel and management.

-Proactively identify opportunities, conduct analyses, needs assessments, cost/benefit assessments and broker other IS services.

-Includes those involved in release management.

-This person will be part of a team of 3 project managers for the infrastructure organization, will work with a team of about 65 other team members.

- Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions.

- Use ServiceNow as a tool for project reporting and updating.

- Performs complex conceptual analyses.

- Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement.

- Forecasts and plans resource requirements.

- Authorizes deviations from standards.

- May lead functional or segment teams or projects.

- Provides explanations and information to others on the most complex issues.

- Motivates and inspires other team members.

- Support and understand the Change Management Process.
