Senior Research Associate, Molecular Biology, 931014

Job Scope & Purpose:

Our Cambridge based client is seeking a talented molecular biologist to join their ranks. You will work in a matrixed environment, contributing to both Immuno-Oncology and Innovation & Technology efforts by implementing their knowledge of genetic engineering to progress our pipeline and interrogate novel biology. Apply now to learn more!
Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Performing DNA/RNA isolation and subsequent analysis including RNA Sequencing, Nanostring and similar platforms
  • Applying molecular and cell biology techniques to design and generate transient and stable cells/ cell-lines using CRISPR and viral transduction.
  • Independently confirming gene expression via quantitative RT-PCR
  • Working knowledge of protein chemistry to assist in design, generation or troubleshooting of proteins and/ or molecular constructs
  • Support the generation of protein, other biomolecules, and cell-lines using expertise in biochemistry and molecular biology
  • Validate proteins, biomolecules, and cell-lines with biochemical and other functional assays.
  • Experience working at the interface between microbial cellular component engineering and biology

Job Requirements

  • MS degree or >5 years of experience in Molecular & Cell Biology
  • Experience CRISPR, lentivirus, and other recombinant techniques required
  • Experience in cell-line and primary cell engineering for in vitro and in vivo functional assays.
  • Experience in the generation protein antigens and siRNA is highly desired
  • Immunology experience a plus
