As a UX Researcher on our Websites Solutions team you will have the opportunity to make a huge impact across a large number of automotive dealerships.
 
You will have a direct hand in building research and testing plans and guiding recommendations and improvements for our lightweight WYSIWYG editor that makes it easier for our customers to modify their web site and drive performance.
 
You will also be responsible for designing research and testing plans for individual modules that can be leveraged on a website that customers can pick from and use.
 
These modules are methodically designed, tested, and get used at scale. Our web designers are then able to theme these modules to apply them to different brands. You’ll work directly with business, product and engineering stakeholders and collaborate with other UX researchers, UX and visual designers on your team and complimentary products in the company's portfolio of products.
 
Experience / Education
  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • 2-4 years of professional experience with master’s degree in User Experience, Human Factors, or similar background. Knowledge
  • Has in-depth knowledge of design fundamentals including the basic components of the design thinking lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with agile work processes and tools that support them (Such as Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of basic UX skills such as identifying users, sketching, iterating, wireframing, receiving feedback from peers as well as from users, and implementing changes.
  • Has proficient knowledge of at least 2 UX specialties (user research, user testing, visual design, information architecture, prototyping, interaction design, content strategy).
  • Has knowledge of at least 1 other UX specialty (user research, user testing, visual design, information architecture, prototyping, interaction design, content strategy).
  • Solid foundation of responsive web design concepts and native mobile design for different operating systems.
  • Familiarity with “wizard” based configuration tools such as Wix, SquareSpace, Drupal, Wordpress, WP Engine, Automattic a plus.
  • Can develop understanding of products that are being worked on, as well as other products throughout the business.
  • Natural curiosity and ability to interpret impact of emerging standards and technology.
  • Familiarity with created deliverables such as competitive analysis, customer journey maps, workflows, contextual inquiry guides, research plans, user testing plans, and summary findings reports.
  • Exposure to automated testing and collaboration tools such as Usertesting.com, dScout, Usabilla and online collaboration tools such as Realtimeboard, Mural.
  • Exposure to modern design tools and workflows such as Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Automotive experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with global design systems and their application in the enterprise.
  • Familiarity with business measurement processes and voice of customer research frameworks such as OKR frameworks and Jobs to be done methodology. Responsibilities
  • Stay abreast of changing UX design methodologies and tools, as well as corporate, organization, and industry standards to ensure we deliver high quality products.
  • Apply global UI standards and design systems effectively, identify areas of improvement, and offer solutions.
  • Estimates design tasks for the purposes of timeline planning.
  • Identifies key performance indicators on a feature-by-feature basis.
  • Reaches out for design feedback from peers, and iterates as necessary.
  • Participates in generating quarterly business review (QBR) materials.
  • Has a clear understanding of current and future tasks, as well as how to manage priorities.
  • Clearly and proactively communicates plans and status updates to UX leadership, and draws UX leadership into critical product conversations.
  • Knows how to work well and manage expectations with multiple stakeholders.
