Apex Systems, the second largest IT Staffing agency in the country, is supporting a Test Engineer opportunity at a major medical device manufacturer near New Haven CT.

  • • Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. 

  • • Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. 

  • • Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. 

  • • Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. 

  • • Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. 

Specialist Career Stream:

  • • Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. 

  • • May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. 

  • • The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Requires a University Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
