Description: Designs, reviews, analyzes, and maintains United's voice communications system. Makes suggestions to end users regarding voice communications software and hardware solutions, and offers support and troubleshooting. Ensures uninterrupted access to all voice telecommunication features, including voicemail, ACD or PBX systems. Daily support includes, but is not limited to, request for new employee set ups or employee moves, VM password resets, voice issues with the NOC, and support to airports and offshore sites. Will work alongside the level 2 support team.

Additional responsibilities may include research and recommendation of vendors. Report on system specifications to support upgrades and to ensure proper integration. Coordinates upgrade schedules with internal or external programmers.

*******Position requires working afternoon shift Monday thru Friday 15:00 to 23:30, and occasional weekends.*********

Requires a bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of IT experience in the field or in a related area.

Must have 3-4 years experience supporting a Cisco Voice infrastructure and working with Cisco Call Manager and experience supporting voicemail, ACD or PBX systems. Networking background, using routers and switches, is good but no the primary focus here.

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
