Role: Web Programmer Analyst
Location: Greater Richmond, VA area
Length: Long term contract until September 2020 with high possibility of extension based on performance and budget
Compensation: Negotiable based on experience

Web Programmer Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical support, programming and analysis tasks for both indexing and imaging server applications including database and GUI development.
  • Provide technical support for client applications for scanning, searching and retrieval on client machines working closely with database server.
  • Work closely with staff, application analysts and end users to define requirements
  • Write program specifications; design, code, test, debug and support applications.
  • Receive direction from Senior Application Development Lead and Systems Manager.
  • Interface with business analysts, senior developer and development manager to provide solutions to complex analytical and tactical system issues.
  • Provide technical support troubleshooting, assist the efforts of developers in major system development projects.
  • Conduct discussions with analysts to determine functional requirements, analyze these requirements, and determine proposed solutions to manual and/or computer-based information processing requirements; and review system performance.

Web Programmer Analyst Requirements:
  • 1 or more years of professional application development experience.
  • Experience performing hands on development with VB.NET, C#, JavaScript, and SQL Server databases.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems, client is open to Windows operating systems as well if you are open to working with and learning how to work with Unix/Linux.
  • Experience troubleshooting of complex systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience conducting discussions with division users to determine functional requirements, analyze these requirements, and determine proposed solutions to current needs.
  • Experience reviewing system performance and identify potential enhancements with end user stakeholders.
