Client: Fortune 5 Oil & Gas Company

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Job Description:

  • We are looking for an Agile Team Coach to use Agile approaches and participate in assisting teams who are trying to become Agile. 
  • Experienced Scrum Certified Team Coach to help lead a Scaled Agile Transformation using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 
  • Help start up a successful Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program 


Job Responsibilities (Day-to-Day Activities of the Role):

  • Spend time with the team / team leadership to understand their needs, problems, and wants
  • Devise a strategy (consistent with the client's Recommendations) to help transform the team to Agile or enhance the team's performance
  • Train the team on Agile concepts
  • Help the team set up tooling to track their work
  • Support the team as they go through their Agile transformation
  • For all of the above, early in the activities/process, also mentor team members in developing their understanding and capability in Agile coaching
  • Help start up a successful Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program 
  • Lead a (SAFe) program as an experienced Release Train Engineer
  • Lead Program Increment Big Room Planning Events for a global organization
  • Train Scrum Masters and Product owners across multiple Scrum Teams
  • Help develop stewardship metrics to make value deliver visible to management and business stakeholders


Technical Skills

  • 5+ Years Agile Team Coaching Experience
  • 3+ Years of Experience participating on an Agile Team
  • Knowledge of and Experience utilizing Agile within a project
  • Knowledge of how to plan and estimate an Agile project
  • Knowledge of Agile Project Controls
  • Knowledge of and Experience in General Agile Implementation
  • User Stories and Requirements Gathering
  • Estimation of User Stories
  • Prioritization
  • Product Owners
  • Agile Metrics
  • Team Kick-Off
  • Knowledge of and Experience with Scrum
  • Knowledge of and Experience with Kanban
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server for Agile Work Planning
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Technical Software Practices
  • TDD
  • Automated Testing
  • CI/CD
  • Paired Programming / Mob Programming


Desired Skills:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
