An Agile Team Coach helps teams climb out of chaos and resistance faster by helping teams operate using Agile principles instead of simply using Agile processes.
Through education, mentorship, leadership development, and the facilitation of the removal of impediments, they help teams internalize principles rather than blindly following a new process.


• Work with the program coach to identify areas of improvement for the Agile teams

• Work with technology leadership to stand up and onboard new teams to agile

• Responsible for creating healthy teams that are resilient, creative, resourceful and resonant

• Set up team best practices for stand ups, refinement, planning, review and retrospective

• Accountable for team health and demonstrating continuous improvement through increased team velocity

• Coach and mentor people through all kinds of change, especially the change required to perform agile roles

• Coach on techniques to increase in sprint testing and reduce sprint carryover

• Address and resolve team dysfunctions and team conflict

• Listen fully and ask essential, powerful questions that open up new possibilities and propel people into action

• Clearly ascertain the distinction between coaching and mentoring and know when to apply each most successfully

• Coach and Mentor Scrum masters on the program and work closely with the Scrum masters to create a continuous improvement backlog for the teams

• Prioritize and manage the team continuous improvement backlog and enhance team practices, raise program impediments or barriers to the Program Coach

• Team Metrics
? Dashboards for team health and predictability
? Dashboards to capture non adherence / non compliance to Jira and other ALM standards
? Dashboards to measure delivery of team outcomes aligned to program deliverables

Required Skills:

• Must have a Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)
? Strong problem solving skills
? Agilist - holds active certifications

• 6-8 years direct tangible experience and understanding managing software and systems engineering efforts using Agile methods, processes and practices

• Ability to manage through chaos

• Recent Team Leadership experience

• Ability to adapt, teach, mentor and guide Individual Contributors

• Strong process improvement background
