Application Development Manager needed! 


Job Description:

The Applications & Development Manager is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of in-house custom applications that align with the needs of the various practice groups and business units of the bank. 

  • Responsibilities include establishing and managing compliance of the software development life cycle methodology; the development, maintenance and enforcement of coding standards and conventions, change and source control, best practices, technical documentation, and deployment methods; implementation, champion, and ensure compliance with project management and solution delivery processes; and vendor management. 


  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in application design and coding as a software developer/architect, and 3+ years of supervisory experience of application development team.


  • Must have Agile experience. This manager will be leading two Agiles teams, approximately 12-15 people onsite and offshore.


  • Candidates must also have experience in .Net Programming, C#, MVC, Java, JQuery, Json, JavaScript, HTML5, Bootstrap, Web API, Visual Studio, TFS, Angular JS, Sitecore and other languages as necessary, familiarity with various software packages used by banks,  knowledge with Microsoft SQL related technologies and in-depth abilities in leading software development and solution delivery. Preferred candidates will have a college or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and prior banking experience.


  • The Applications & Development Manager will prepare and manage Application Development Group budget, supervise development proposals, and will provide leadership and mentoring to staff including development of training, development plans and performance management.
