Apex Systems, the nation’s 2nd largest Information Technology staffing firm, has an opportunity for a(n) Java Developer to work for one of our clients in the West Palm Beach, FL area. This is a 12 month contract position with intention to bring on permanently. Cannot work C2C for this position.

Purpose: To join growing team in developing and maintaining enterprise level trading application.

Team: 3 developers per agile team with 14 developers in total.

Experience Level: 3+ years of experience (Mid-level)

Key Requirements:

  • Core JAVA
  • Core Javascript (3+ years)
  • Generic SQL (basic SQL writing for select statements, queries, etc.)
    • Oracle database (don’t need to have that though)
  • Scripting language knowledge (Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.)
  • Junit (unit testing experience)  
  • Automated testing knowledge (1-2 years of experience)
    • Selenium
    • Test Complete
    • Junit

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication
  • Energetic, “people person” (not looking for someone who is just heads-down – needs to be able to do presentations etc.)
