Location: Atlanta, GA

Contract: 9 Month Contract to Hire

Bachelors? Yes

Remote? 1 day/wk

Business Initiative: Build Capabilities to facilitate quick and easy Onboarding of users to Data Lake

Team Size: 3 to 4

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of programming experience in Java, Python, Scala, and/or other functional programming skills
  • Experience with Hive/Impala and NoSQL databases. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and develop functions in an MPP environment is highly desired
  • Proficient in SQL and Shell scripting

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Spark, Kafka and other Hadoop supported technologies
  • Exposure to development in Cloud environment is desired
  • Experience in designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging of the applications; conducting design reviews prior to development.
  • Very good knowledge of the software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and test-driven development
  • Good understanding of continuous integration & continuous deployment environments

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop applications with best coding practices
  • Create good design and technical documentation
  • Ensures adherence to established SDLC processes and policies
  • Capable of embracing change and quickly adapting to changing requirements and priorities
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic, Agile environment
