Role Overview:

The Business Analyst HRT works with business owners to analyze business requirements and develop integrated solutions. Providing functional and technical expertise, process and system reengineering, and workflow insight where appropriate. Developing specifications for new systems and manages change control (develops requirements, reviews/approves technical design, etc) to technology applications. Collaborates with the development team to ensure that they understand the business and functional specifications and deliver a quality, timely product. Will work with training team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted and help develop a change management / training plan. Actively participates in SQA preparation for and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT). Acts as an expert in data management and analysis. Consults with business to design high caliber systems and processes.

 

• Provides functional feasibility assessment to business partners related to emerging initiatives.

• Provides high-level and detailed business process and technical overviews and insight Maintains continuity between clients and HRSPI organization where appropriate. throughout complete project life cycle.

• Serves as primary liaison on projects to coordinate efforts between clients and HRSPI to ensure precision in communications, requirements, design, testing, prioritization, etc.

• Assesses cross-functional dependencies and makes recommendations for optimal roles, responsibilities, etc.

• Identifies, assesses, and documents business requirements, recommending business priorities and advising business on options, risks and costs versus benefits of various solutions.

• Conducts research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.

• Analyzes impact of proposed solutions on existing technology platforms/infrastructure as well as processes.

• Provides input to buy vs. build decision based on input received from the business and other functions within technology.

• Provides input to the development of formal business cases, when applicable.

• Develops use cases to explain / demonstrate business requirements / specifications to the technology team.

• Contributes a business or process perspective during design reviews.

• Actively participates in system test preparation and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Creates test cases.

• Reviews test results and makes recommendations on 'go / no go' for production releases.

• Develops training sessions, demos, and technical as well as user documentation.

• Provides relevant test scenarios for the testing team; works with test team to develop system integration test scripts and ensures the testing results correspond to the business expectation. Provides input into project / resource estimating activities.

• Identifies and communicates risks to delivering solution on time to client and other team members.

• Establish strong working relationships with all team members (including virtual project teams and clients).

• Key contributor in the development of solutions to meet business needs.

• Participate in and support cross-technology and cross-functional process improvement initiatives.

• People Management

• Manage individual workload to deliver work products on time with exceptional Proactively promote consistent project-based performance measurement quality. and skill development of all team members.

• Demonstrate ability to work in team environment and help resolve issues.

• Provide input to staffing plans at the project-level to identify key / required skills

 

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.

• Experience / understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts.

• Strong understanding of relational databases and normalization models.

• Strong ability to integrate data from multiple sources and multiple formats to produce meaningful results with precision and efficiency.

• Proficiently skilled at reverse-engineering system workflows via front-end analysis.

• Demonstrated commitment to supporting the business and developing solutions through partnerships that enable our clients to provide exceptional service.

• Basic understanding of the company's business practices, and familiarity with the company's products and services.

• Strong analytical and writing skills.

• HR experience (multi-company, multi-state, Federal Contractor, etc. preferred)
