Business Development Director
Our client is a Technological Solutions company located in Islandia, NY (Long Island) and is in need of a Business Development Director to network with distributors nationwide for their Nondestructive Testing Business Unit.



ASNT LVL 1 OR 2 FULL NDT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED



Responsibilities
  • Development and management of the Nondestructive Testing Business Unit
  • Implementation of a sales and marketing strategy
  • Setup of a distributor network and acquisition of key account customers
  • Strategic market research and business orientation
  • Human resource planning
  • Support of the president in terms of budget control and contract negotiations
  • Implementation of  parent company quality standar
  • Manage distribution networks
  • Support our existing distributors in North and South America
  • Customer visits and product presentations
  • Represent company at trade shows and manage trade show logistics
  • Support distributors at trade shows
  • Conduct price and contract negotiations
  • Supporting customers with technical questions and providing solutions
  • Providing product and application training
  • Market and competition monitoring
  • Cold acquisition & lead generation

Requirements
  • 5+ years sales experience selling a technical product preferred
  • ASNT Level 1 Ultrasound certification a must (Level 2 preferred)
  • Bachelors in Science/Business
  • Proven experience selling NDT products preferred
  • Ability to travel throughout North and South America
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact, communicate and build relationships with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly
  • Managing distribution networks
