Title: Business Manager
 
Job Description:
The Business Manager resource will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of business group / department through strong business management and productivity improvements and will provide the services described below.
 
Process and Business Management:

• Plan and structure the ROB (Rhythm of the Business) including Monthly Business Review (MBR), Quarterly Business Review (QBR), scorecard updates and other business deliverables

• Coordinate, provide input, and ensure the team is on track to meet all deadlines / deliverables

• Support the Business Group Leads through collaborative business analysis, budget recommendations and meeting facilitation, owning and driving the agenda, and collecting actions items

• Work with the BPO team to help orchestrate and roll out operational and strategic planning for your BG

• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to the Business Group Leads and team on the above areas

• Oversight and governance of marketing budgets and collaborating with finance, tools, and marketing to ensure that forecasted spend it achieved
 
Tools:

• Support the team and Business Group Leads in training and understanding of all core business tools

• Work with the data team to create new tools and reporting that provide efficiencies within the business
 
Special Projects:

• Take on and lead special projects that provide additional value- add to the BG team. Investigate areas for improvements and proactively engage to improve the operations of the business.

• Assist Microsoft Management to ensure each deliverable shall be factually accurate as submitted.
 
Requirements:

• 2-3 Years of work experience in a professional environment; matrixed org preferred

• Knowledge of software applications, especially Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint), Microsoft SharePoint

• Intermediate level Excel skills – pivot tables, look-ups, basic macros

• Previous experience managing mid-sized budgets within a sales/marketing department

• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organization and time management skills.

• Excellent analytical skill required.

• Ability to manage a heavy workload in a demanding, deadline oriented environment.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders and priorities, whilst still being a valued member of the core analytics team

• Ability to deal with ambiguity

• Highly adaptable and ability to work within a heavily matrixed org

• Consulting experience an asset
