The ideal candidate will perform the duties of a Business Process Analyst. He or she will be responsible for analyzing and defining current/existing processes, identifying process improvement or automation opportunities, and implementing standardized processes throughout corporate locations and multiple operating companies. The position will focus on business process improvement efforts in support of the established Business Process Center of Excellence (COE). This person will work closely with business partners and stakeholders to drive process and system improvements that enable scale. Primary business partners include business process owners, global process owners, functional managers, applications teams, and other cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate must be able to use a collaborative, professional, and service-oriented approach to interacting with these business partners. Reporting to the Manager of Process Improvement on the Business Process Management Team, responsibilities of the Business Process Analyst include:

 

  • Partners with process owners and key stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and document process improvement opportunities that increase productivity, efficiency, quality, or customer satisfaction and/or reduce expenses and eliminate waste.
  • Leads process discovery, simulation, modeling/mapping, and documentation efforts.
  • Documents the 'as is' and 'to be' environment to properly identify process and system requirements needed to achieve process goals.
  • Communicates and translates requirements effectively and ensures proper coordination between technology teams and business process owners.
  • Facilitates discussion of business process changes and collaborate with process stakeholders, technical teams, and project manager to agree on overall project timeline.
  • Prepares or guides creations of user training documents and delivers user training for newly developed applications, assists with update/creation of high-level business process documentation.
  • Works with project team on completing business readiness documentation, collaborates with the business owners and users to prepare for business readiness and transfer knowledge of new process/system.
  • Facilitate process workshops with business partners in Corporate HQ, and Operating Companies (OpCo’s) to identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Responsible for defining and implementing standardized processes and procedures throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with business resources to identify and analyze all core processes and workflows including sales, procurement, finance, operations and margin management.
  • Leverage expertise in Process Engineering Concepts and Tools to include BPM, Six Sigma, Lean, Kanban, Agile, etc. to make sound process recommendations.
  • Documents, maintains, and shares best practices and offers guidance and recommendations for process changes and potential solutions.
  • Define and capture business process metrics that provide ongoing governance and process performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and/or external vendors to recommend system capabilities for standardized/centralized business processes.
  • Partner with PMO or Agile Teams to execute on projects that improve or streamline business processes.
  • Exercise skills and expertise in project management and communications to drive process improvement projects and oversee bodies of work from start-to-finish.
  • Identify issues, risks and opportunities during process improvement efforts.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree in information systems, computer science, business, accounting/finance, related discipline, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in business process analysis/consulting
  • 6+ years of application of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban)
  • 4+ years of project management experience leveraging an industry standard methodology (e.g. Waterfall, Agile etc.)
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office and MS Visio
  • Excellent communications, spelling, and grammar skills
  • Experience with graphical modeling languages such as UML, SysML, and/or BPMN
  • Experience developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentations
  • Self-Disciplined /Independent worker
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyze business processes and workflow
  • Strong skills in Business Process Mapping and Business Process Reengineering
  • Experience facilitating workshops and focus groups
  • Change management skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Proven Leadership Attributes (able to motive oneself and others)
  • Customer focused with conflict resolutions skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills. Must be very customer-oriented and focused on meeting the customer's needs.

  • Lean Six Sigma green belt or black belt
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Business Process Management Professional (BPMP)
