  1. Knowledge Level:  Each Position must contain a level of knowledge of all the applications within the LIS team to manage and support.  As the employee grows and develops, their ability to be an SME within each application is achieved and changes. End result and goal is that any level can do basic support and on call while employees grow in the knowledge and understanding of the applications utilized on the team and less support by the vendor.
    1. Product Specialist
      1. Pathnet, Copath Plus, Helix Tables experience
      2. Interface understanding/troubleshooting
      3. Experience Laboratory Specialist with implementation experience
      4. SME for any one of the applications and understanding of the other systems
    2. Senior Product Specialist
      1. Pathnet, Copath Plus, Helix in depth Tables experience
      2. Pathnet, Copath Plus, Helix in depth understanding/experience of the Core Code build
      3. CCL, Crystal Reports, SQL report writing experience
      4. Interface Configuration Experience
      5. Experience Laboratory Specialist with implementation experience
      6. SME for any one of the applications and understanding of the other systems
  2. Communication.
    1. Communicate effective oral, aural and written skills with work groups, including internal LIS team members, HITS team members, Business Partner members as well as external participants
    2. Willingly share knowledge with other teams and team members
    3. Work collaboratively with other teams to expedite resolution to problems
    4. Prepare and deliver presentations to a teams and user presentation
    5. Communicate problem resolution to users and staff seeking feedback as to action taken to resolve a problem and the success or non-success
    6. Review feedback and take appropriate action seeking directions and assistance from team leader/mentor
    7. Provide written program documentation as per standards
    8. Provide timely status reporting as required or needed
  3. Technical Knowledge
    1. Provide a variety of programming duties with direction
      1. SR submissions for vendor supported tasks
    2. Develop effective, efficient internal design and detail pathway workflow documentation
    3. Adhere to basic programming standards
    4. Produce/build programs within regulatory agency guidelines
    5. Collaborate with the QA teams and business partners to establish comprehensive and detailed functionality test plans

    7. Relational DB retrieval ability to provide ad hoc information and data analysis
    8. Intense knowledge of interfaces and integration
    9. Strong knowledge of operating systems and support tools

  4. Application support
    1. Ownership of Incident management and problems resolution processes.
    2. Effectively work with users to understand problem and recognize and define needs/problems within the appropriate processes
    3. Ability to distinguish critical needs/problems and prioritize among less urgent needs
    4. Follow through from analysis to problem resolution, modifying software as necessary
    5. Facilitate quality customer service
    6. Provide on-call support as assigned (but not limited to)
      1. Millennium Pathnet (Gen Lab, Micro…etc)
      2. Millennium Helix
      3. Copath Plus
      4. SCC Softbank
      5. 3rd party software to support all the applications
    7. Continually increase breadth and depth of application knowledge
    8. Understand integration and interfacing among systems
    9. Create documentation for continuous process improvement, education and training

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years relevant experience
