We are looking to hire a seasoned Cobol/iSeries Developer who has at minimum 5 years of professional IT Development experience.  In this opportunity, you will be hands on, doing new development, doing custom development, and enhancements to existing applications. Our client is located in the Buckhead part of Atlanta, GA.  This is a contract to hire opportunity and the salary ranges from 85-95K.

Essential Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for programing a feature and or a small feature set. You will contribute to the team and take direction from the Senior Team Members or management but work independently. 
Basic Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience on iSeries

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Atlanta, GA

Technical Expertise:
  • Experience with COBOL programming
  • Experience with iSeries Operating System
  • Experience with writing CL programs
  • Experience with database and database tools (DB2, DFU, WRKDBF, CPYF)
  • Experience with querying data (WRKQRY, STRSQL, SQL)
  • Experience with iSeries libraries
  • Experience with managing iSeries jobs
  • Experience with saving and restoring objects on the iSeries
  • Experience with iSeries Navigator
  • Experience with tracking tools, Rally and Aldon
  • Experience with error monitoring
  • Experience with problem resolution
