Position plays the role of both business analyst and process analyst, and is key to understanding the new product impacts to operations, engineering and IT teams. Responsible for business analysis, business requirements and functional requirements development as well as process analysis, process flow designs, creation and updating of all process documentation related to the integration of new strategic initiatives into existing and future operations. Responsible for collecting, interpreting, defining and documenting requirements and process flows for product development projects sponsored by the business unit. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, and works independently as the liaison between the business sponsor and the service delivery organizations, and the business unit (s) understanding and documenting the user needs. Then translating received data into requirements and deploying solutions that will meet the sponsor’s objectives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Experience creating technical artifacts and/or functional requirements for product development initiatives
  • Must practice proactive problem solving, taking initiative to identify opportunities while driving issues to resolution and formulating solutions to accelerate product development
  • Familiar with data networking concepts and practical applications (OSI model, network protocols, basic data services architecture and hardware). Certification is desired but not required (Cisco, MEF, Network +)
  • Possess a cable/telecom background and/or understand fiber optic data services offered to enterprise customers (SDN, Ethernet, Internet, Router Management, Security Services, Wi-Fi, etc.)
  • Understands the product development lifecycle and can apply knowledge to enterprise data services
  • Experience with Sales Engineering is required



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience

Related Work Experience (5+ Years)

  • Business Operations Analysis experience
  • Process Design/Documentation experience
  • Experience in Broadband and/or Telecommunications business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong ability to develop working relationships with peers and project members
  • Fundamental knowledge of process and project management in Broadband or Telecommunications industry
  • Knowledge of general accounting and billing procedures
  • Knowledge of the Business Process Modeling (BPMN) Model
