Community Manager – Enforcement

Apex Systems is partnering with the developers of an award-winning video game franchise and is seeking an experienced Community Manager Enforcement specialist to help foster and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our community. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing content and player behavior, working with a group of community enforcement volunteers, as well as creating and updating corresponding documentation as needed.


  • Foster an ‘E for Everyone’ community
    • Monitor, review and enforce community-generated content (including, but not limited to in-game photographs & videos, etc.)
    • Set and enforce guidelines for appropriate player behavior, both in game and in owned channels outside of the game (including livestreams, Social Media, Forums, etc.)
  • Work with volunteer community members for content moderation efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create and update documentation regarding enforcement processes and guidelines as necessary
  • Collaborate with internal teams on enforcement-related tools and processes

Key Competencies:

  • Passion for fostering a welcoming and safe community within and outside of the game
  • Awareness and understanding of gaming culture
  • Quickly review and assess whether content is appropriate
  • Independently prioritize tasks to meet goals
  • Work with community team and volunteers to create a consistent understanding of enforcement guidelines
  • Provide regular reporting on key enforcement related metrics to stakeholders
  • Write cohesive documentation for instructions and guidelines
  • Ability to work across internal teams and stakeholders as appropriate


  • Understanding of age-appropriate assessment criteria and guidelines
  • 4+ years of experience in moderation and enforcement within gaming communities
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-discipline environment
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
