Our client is looking for a Continuous Delivery Coach to join their team in Durham, NC! This person must have experience with SAFe implementations, agile/scrum, devops and continuous delivery. If qualified, please email your resume to Healea at htaylor@apexsystems.com


This person will be an integral part of our team-based environment propelled by creativity, collaboration, and agility. They will be a champion for Agile adoption and responsible for coaching and developing self-directed teams by setting direction, engaging the team, removing impediments and obstacles to support continuous improvement and delivery of results, along with celebrating successes. 

Major Job Functions/Components 


• Identifies methodology challenges and collaboratively creates solutions for continuously evolving Agile  
• In collaboration with Agile Coaches, manages the enterprise Agile methodology knowledge repository. 
• Acquires or generates knowledge repository content including approaches, techniques, processes, procedures, toolkits, role definitions and templates. 
• Coaches teams and team members by providing constructive and timely feedback and facilitates interactions related to the development life cycle. 
• Mentors ScrumMasters and Product Owners on agile software development principles and practices, Scrum processes, team building, and facilitation. 
• Uses “inspect and adapt” with ScrumMasters, Product Owners and teams to constantly improve performance and responsiveness. 
• Invests in and engages the team and team members; get to know members as people to understand who they are, what they value, what motivates them and how they like to be recognized. 
• , Acts as a partner, participating in real-time to provide advice or assistance to teams and team members to tackle and overcome difficult challenges, remove impediments and obstacles and drive continuous improvement through encouraging the adoption of technical practices, improving agile execution and building skills and capabilities. 
• Collaborates with teams, management peers and other functions to ensure understanding of shared responsibility and deliverables to ensure success relative to our Agile/Scrum development process. 
• Coaches executives and stakeholders to align their expectations for working with an Agile development environment. 


Hiring Requirements/Qualifications 

Education/Experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline and eight years experience in a business analyst, project management, technical analyst, and/or solutions architect role, 
• Must have direct experience in a leadership role with proven ability to provide effective team leadership. 
• Three years of Scrum / Agile experience required with an excellent working knowledge of the Scrum framework, processes, roles and responsibilities. 
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle, architecture and design, software craftsmanship and test automation strategies. 
• Previous experience coaching executives, product owners, scrum masters and team members. 
• Knowledge of Scrum and the Scaled Agile Framework for the enterprise (SAFe).

• Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks. 
• Comfortable with shifting prioritizations quickly and in refactoring limited resources toward modified objectives. 
• Team player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment. 
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail. 

Preferred Professional Certifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) strongly preferred. 
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) or Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) a plus.
