Maintain Configuration Management (CM) validation of firewall, switch, and router modifications on a continuous basis.
- Information system security ensures compliance with ICD 503, National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, and other supporting security directives.
- Provides seamless integration of security disciplines to ensure a robust set of checks and balances to protect against unauthorized network modifications, penetrations, and other threats that might affect mission operations.
- Continuous network monitoring, intrusion detection and incident response services of the AF DCGS Weapons system. Services shall be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Analyzes and responds to real-time and near-real-time security events

- Performs real-time alerting and problem resolution
- Prioritizes remediation efforts using reliable threat intelligence
- Monitors and protects the security of the AF DCGS from internal and external threats
- Implements the Enterprise Audit Conceptual Framework as defined by Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 500-27
- Generates, collects, stores and retains audit data
- Generates a complete list of auditable events for all user activity and processing formatting, filtering, and sharing the data
- Provides their solutions to the Authorizing Official (AO) for a risk determination on whether to accept or reject authorization to operate or test
- Provides the AO with the operational and economic costs of protective measures so they may be weighed against requirements for mission accomplishment
- Provides Network Security Management, Communication Security (COMSEC)
- Management and Network Security Monitoring
- Manages antivirus definition files on DOC and DCGS Enterprise information systems
- Provides guidance and assistance to other units and agencies responding to security events, maintaining status of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), DISA assist bulletins, Air Force Certifications, and compliance with other related Certifications
- Provide input in support of the Monthly Status Report (MSR) detailing accomplishments and issues in performance of task.
 
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of network and system security experience; TS/SCI Clearance
- Demonstrated knowledge of the CND Framework
- Possess IAT Level II  Security + (CE) and CySA certification IAW DoD 8570
