Seeking Data Analysts with experience in data management/analysis. Previous experience with CMPro and ERP is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum interim secret clearance. Open to speaking with you if you are eligible for a clearance.
Job Description:
Under general supervision, the data systems analyst (DSA) will support an enterprise inventory management team seeking to achieve Financial Management and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance for NIWC Atlantic, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.  With this knowledge, develops or modifies moderately complex information systems to update, and posting of OM&S, Purchase Requisition, and Plant Property & Equipment/Asset Management information.  Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary to process OM&S transactions, to scan and upload general equipment key supporting documents to Navy ERP.  Guides and supports less experienced Data Systems Analysts to process documentation, includes training materials including PowerPoint conceptual information and guided exercises for gaining proficiency, printable and online desk guides, and work instructions that are step-by-step instructions for Navy ERP transaction accomplishment.  Competent to work in some phases of systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. The DSA will leverage CMPro and Navy ERP as the primary systems with document exchanges in SharePoint. 
  • Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
  • Understand the relationships, dependencies, and impact of neighboring business functions.
  • Understand core systems, applications, and technical platforms.
  • Document, design, analyze, and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems.
Experience:
  • 2 - 6 years of experience supporting corporate operations functions with data management and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of analytical principles, methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience using data visualization techniques, and tailoring views to different audiences.
  • Expert in research methods, statistical analysis, and the use of analytical software (spreadsheets).
  • Design, develop and extract data using SQL queries
  • Design and analyze technical documentation, procedures and guidelines for C4ISR systems or equipment.
  • Working experience with Data Extract Transfer and Load (ETL) strategies
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Must have solid presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work independently on complex tasks that require design, research, analysis and action.
  • Must be able to work well with staff members and user community, especially with senior management staff.
  • Person must be able to interact with employees at all levels of the company
