Title: Data Center Technician Cabling Support 2
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Type: Contract
Ideal Start Date: 12. 2. 2019
Apex Systems has an opportunity to work with a multinational Technology company in one of their Data Centers. In this role you will be working in a Data Center and assisting with upkeep and clean up with as well as getting insight into the Networking and QA of the Data Center.
Responsibilities:
-  Server/Network/rPDU device rack, stack and cable incl. Cable Management
-  Rack/MOR Cabling - General supervised Deployment support
-  Decommission IT equipment (server and network under MSFT supervision), DBD removal only (does not perform any scanning)
-  Physical audits of datacenter assets
-  Basic Server (Discrete/Rack-based) repair following documented procedures
-  Physically assist in moving and racking equipment
-  Maintain data center facilities removing debris and empty boxes once no longer needed
-  Hard drive shredding
-  Moving Locked DBD Bins to shred area
-  Audit and inventory management support & spine clean up
-  Physical audit of drinks/stationary on campus and reorder as necessary through CBRE/Staples
-  Perform rack movement
