Location: Dublin, OH
Pay Rate: Negotiable + Apex Benefits ( W-2 only)
Contract Type: 6 month with chance of conversion to FTE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
 
SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED
We are looking for a Data Center Technician to join our growing Data Center team within infrastructure operations. Scope of work includes troubleshooting and repairing servers with hardware and network issues. Must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision and handle multiple priorities. 

Technicians will provide operational support of our Columbus, Ohio Data Centers. They'll be responsible for day to day incident management of servers and networking equipment. Duties will include hardware repair related project work and capacity management.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Hands on experience with x86 architecture based systems
Data Center Technician or equivalent experience
Understanding of storage devices
Understanding of network cabling
Understanding of basic network architecture
Must exhibit good communication and grammatical skills
Must be capable of lifting 50lbs 
Must have valid driver’s license and their own vehicle 
Must be able to pass background check and drug test 
Must be able to function well under pressure with multiple priorities

PREFERRED SKILLS
Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and coordination with Data Center Manager
3-5 years IT support experience Experience with Linux or similar OS 
Good knowledge of network design and protocols 
Understanding of scripting languages
Familiarity with incident ticket tracking systems (Remedy, Jira, SIM, etc) 
Completion of IT Industry Certifications (CompTIA, CISCO, LPI, etc)
