Our largest telecommunications client has a need in Mount Laurel, NJ for a Data Engineer/Analyst/Scientist. The client is looking for someone to come in long-term and help with the optimization of numerous R scripts, using both Spark & SparkR.

Desired Technical Skills:
  • R (required)
  • Spark (Required)
    • Ideally operational/framework knowledge as opposed to just loading code into Spark
  • SparkR (Nice-to-Have)

  • This telecom client provides data to all of its business clients on network performance, outages, optimization, etc.
  • The team this person will be joining is responsible for pulling, grooming, and organizing that data off of the network hardware devices.
  • The current set-up uses just R programming to pull and extract data from the network devices
  • The goal of the team is to move over to using Spark and SparkR to optimize the current data engineering processes and deliver better analytics to internal/external customers

Interview Process:
  • Will be a phone interview, followed by an on-site interview in NJ
  • Relocation candidates are welcome, but an on-site interview inm NJ is required to receive an offer, and neither Apex nor the client are able to cover travel costs for the interview.
