Data Ops Engineer

1 year contract - looking to convert

Raleigh - Onsite, NO RELO

MUST be a green card holder or US citizen

Improve and maintain existing application and database IT infrastructures to maximize reliability
Design and implement CI/CD processes to deploy code in production and development environments for both a backend data processing layer and frontend web application.
Implement automation processes to deploy and test codebases
Work with backend data analytics developers to ensure their code is written for best deployment practices.
Work with frontend developers to ensure their code is written for best deployment practices.
Research and explore opportunities to continually improve existing architecture and infrastructure capabilities.
Impart best practices to improve the knowledge of code contributors.

Minimum of 3 years experience maintaining production level application infrastructures
Experience with the management of databases and basic querying
SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
NoSQL (MongoDB)
Experience with CI/CD processes and implementation
Experience deploying containerized applications with Kubernetes
Preferably within OpenShift V3
Familiarity with front-end development.
Familiarity with HTML5/ CSS3/ Javascript
Experience working in a highly collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, Statistics or equivalent.
