The DB2 Database Administrator incumbent is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of database management system (DBMS) objects using DB2 on Z/OS platform, supporting DBMS applications, implementing effective DBMS security practices, and coordinating with systems support for optimal database performance.

Job Summary:

 Required Qualifications:

•  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or IT related field is required.

•  Must have at least 5 years of DBA experience with DB2 and associated tools in a mainframe environment.

•  Experience with JCL and SQL including DDL, DML, or DCL is required.

•  Experience in relational database technology(RDMS), DB2 Z/OS is required

•  Experience with standard IBM utilities and tools including Image Copy, Recovery, REORG, RUNSTATS, Load, Bind, and Explain with SPUFI, and QMF preferred.

•  Experience in IBM Pure data Analytics (Netezza) is preferred.

•  Exposure to database modeling and design techniques.
